I wholeheartedly agree. I personally have trouble reeading about things like graphic car accidents, hospital stays, and sexual violence, so I think giving readers a warning is necessary, though I don't think I'm comfortable putting a moratorium on writing that stuff if the writer finds it necessary for the story.
