What a beautiful piece- and you even included a soundtrack!
I think your characterization and theme were spot on. Your pacing with going back and forth with the demon really help weaving in the prompt through out the whole fic. It was very nicely written. And I truly did enjoyed the whole despite who incredibly bitter sweet the whole experience was, but at least one day after a long life Kurogane will be reunited with his beloved.
