I think if Kurogane is telling the people of Yama what he's looking for, he'll say "Mokona," maybe? I don't think he'd say "manjuu," though, because it would confuse the people he's talking to. "You want… a meat bun*? What?" Especially because, since Shara/Shura is Japanese-y (if you will), they probably have manjuu there! If you want Fay to recognize what he's saying, I would have him say "Mokona" there.

*Not all manjuu are meat buns, but I'm pretty sure that was the Del Ray translation.
