8 - I don't know why I felt this was more about Kurogane than Fai.
2) How well did this entry represent its prompt?
9 - kind of a reverse of the saying in Fai's case, but applies to the rebel group that starts to form. So yeah, it fits.
3) How much did I enjoy this story, overall?
8 - I'm not really into the werewolf+vampire pairing, so maybe that's why.
