[TEAM MACHINES] ( L’appel du vide) Go Nowhere High, Go Nowhere Warm

Title: Go Nowhere High, Go Nowhere Warm
Prompt:L’appel du vide: French — “The call of the void” is this French expression’s literal translation, but more significantly it’s used to describe the instinctive urge to jump from high places.
Rating: M
Tags: Suicidal thoughts, suicidal idealation, PTSD, human experimentation, loss of limbs, referenced character death
notes: I took this somewhat literally? Also I really wasn't trying to write 30k again I swear.

This fic sort of let me speechless. I loved the way in which the machine aspect of the fic was integrated with the characters, the weapons, the enemies and the environment, and yet it also felt very organic. I loved how the question of humanity and machinery didn't only affect Fai in the grand scheme of things, but it also touched smaller elements of the fic like Ginryuu and Mokona. Reading about Fai and Yuui's lives and fates was absolutely gut-wrenching, but I'm guessing that was the intent so good job on making me feel miserable :') the ending truly made up for it though, it was really beautiful and this fic was just incredible from start to finish. Great work!

What can I say about this amazing world and story you wrote? I loved every aspect of the world you built and the tragedy of little Fai and Yuui's lives almost made me cry. You always write such amazing AU pieces. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with this fandom over the years.

The story was beautiful. I really have no complaints at all. I loved the world you created and all of the symbolism was amazing. You did a great job capturing the "souls" of the characters. The whole thing was so unique. Thank you so much for writing it!

Great characterization, I enjoyed the back and forth between the two. Good, solid prompt and theme handled and explored though out the fic.
I did enjoyed this fic- very solid world, very strong pacing and purpose. With the looming spring hanging over everyones head, it really gave the narrative that drive forward-that sense of urgency that really carried the fic along. I also enjoyed how you handled war and how a soldier can reflect on themselves and their motivations, A+.
And even though I loved the interactions between the main two I wished there was more sparks between them- something more that implies something more between them (if that makes sense lol)
For a lot of fics in this competition I can totally see follow ups that would elaborate the blooming romance between Kurogane and Fai but in this fics case I can't because this fic is kinda just perfect the way it is and it had such a strong ending- but who knows (lol) you are such a talented writer that you could pull it off.

I don't know why my first comment isn't showing or if I am not seeing it, but I loved it!!! The way you integrated the original aspects of TRC with your story were perfect!
