The flashbacks were surprisingly easy to write. I stuck in the last one to honor the wonderful and sweet and very strong boy Youou was - before his innocence was taken as he grows older. ;____; I planned out the sap for a while. Actually, I used the balcony scene from that "1 sentence" - just cause I'm a cheesy romantic like that. And Fai would anyways...
Of course Kurogane would come to find Kuro-sama as the most heartfelt endearment. If you put that scene in Nihon in an ordinary romance novel plot, I'd imagine the exchange and thought would be like this:
Fai: "Because I forgive you, and because I was so scared of losing you for the sake of my life and happiness, I don't want to be mad anymore at you. Kuro-sama...
Kurogane: *thinks, That name!!!*
Fai: I - I love you, Kuro-sama.
And therefore, Kurogane associates that name with the moment Fai comes back to him, and enjoys it, hooray!
