Not to mention that the moon (often times a full one) is prevalent a lot throughout the story. Yay for CLAMP symbolism! :D
I think something's off with me. I have the tendency and urge to explore Kurogane's weakness/vulnerabilities; while upping up Fai's personal strength, and so far I haven't seriously gotten huge flak for those! Then again, I just think fandom tends to not give Fai a whole lot of credit and make Kurogane a semi Gary-stu (not as bad as Syaoran, dear gods!). But yeah, as much as I love how unnervingly strong and resilient and badass Kurogane is, it's those moments of seeing him so affected by tragedies, how he struggles with the wrongfulness that the whole family goes through, and when he clarifies what true strength means to him that ultimately makes him my favorite character. CLAMP does makes him human...but I guess all of his character traits and gradual changes are too subtle?
