2013 Kurofai Winter Olympics - theme and scheduling poll!

It is 2013, and so time to start seriously thinking of the 2013 Kurofai Winter Olympics!

Thanks to the suggestions of everyone on our early poll, we have several very strong competitors for this year's theme.

Feudal vs Future - also known as Science vs Magic, or Sci-fi vs. Fantasy. Explores two different flavors of speculative fiction settings for the price of one!

Drama vs Comedy - also known as SRS vs LOL. On one side a perfectly straight-faced, serious-business interpretation of a prompt, with all the grim consequences and earnest drama thereof. On the other side... laughs abound.

Let us know your preference, and while you're at it: if you plan to write for the 2013 olympics, let us know what weeks you would be available to write. We'd like to accommodate everybody's schedule as much as possible!

An understudy is usually someone who isn't already writing a fic, 'cause of all the stress and things. If you were scheduled to post on a Friday but Thursday's person dropped out and you weren't finished with your own Friday fic, that could be a disaster.

However, understudies can (and have) written their own fics anyway for themes they've found particularly inspiration, regardless of who is and isn't already writing it, and then posted it after the contest ends. :3
perfectworry: she was still young not yet highly strung which you need to be when you get older (a rabbit-hearted girl)

Okay, thanks for clarifying that!

I think for me, just being a regular team member would be better. Time zone difference (GMT+9) would make last minute posting a complete disaster for me.

I shouldn't worry - we've got a couple of people even further ahead than you, timezone-wise, and we usually manage to work things out for everyone!
perfectworry: black skies have changed into blue but some nights I still dream of you (but I've seen oceans)

Okay! I've never had a problem with it, as long as I have warning far enough in advance. I just can't usually do really last minute, because I'm usually at work when it's due.
