Hello everyone! It's been a while since our last comm event, so it's that time of year where I phish amongst you lot to see what kind of event you'd like to do next! Another Olympics, or something more like the Harlequin challenge? Something new? Something borrowed? Something blue!

i'm actually itching to go back to the traditional fluff vs angst, i didn't get to compete in that one!

I think that'd be covered the fluff vs angst, tbh? Or comedy vs tragedy.

LOL vs SRS is similar to fluff vs angst. So those veins is my hand raised for. Will try to have a working and operable laptop by then.

What if for the prompts, we use writing cliches/tropes? Like 'it was a dark and stormy night' or 'only true love's kiss can break the spell', etc.?

As for team themes; it'd be nice to return to the first one: angst vs. fluff. But the prompts suggestions will work for any teams.

I actually thought of doing something a bit like that, with tropes? Like, 'wingfic' and 'high school AU' and 'undercover at a gay bar,' all those old slash cliche fics, but i couldn't see how to present it as a team option. XD

I like tropes! Maybe we could use that in a theme, like, a remix of canon vs au, where tropes are provided (mistaken for married, wingfic, highschool au, reincarnated romance, etc etc) and are used instead of prompts, e.g. canon highschool au (in which Kuro and Fai and the gang land in a boarding school and are promptly swapped by fangirls), or au reincarnated romance (where Kuro and Fai have died multiple times because of tragedy and are yet to find the one life where they are together and die permanently) or something.

Using horrible cliches as prompts to do a fluff vs. au would be the actual best olympics we've ever had, just sayin' >.>

I've got some intensive courses in March, but I've probably got sort of a break in April/May. Spring is just as good as anytime, since my schedule changes from week to week with barely any notice anyway. I've never tried writing anything more than singular scenes, whole stories never get finished or are just embarrassingly badly written, so I'm sort of hesitant, especially cause I've been away for so long. But the ideas so far are really great and I won't want to miss this, I think. ^-^
