2015 KuroFai Olympics - Final Posting Schedule Revision

It all comes down to this, dear Olympians: the final revision of the posting schedule. Please consult the chart below carefully and memorise your posting date, as a week's extension has been given due to extenuating circumstances and popular requests, and the dates have shifted accordingly.



This is the last extension that will be given; there will be no others, and these dates are fixed as of today. You must post your fic on your assigned date, finished or not, or you will get a score of zero for your team. Remember, even if you're not quite done, it's better to post what you have and take a small penalty, than lose it all!

As always, I'm volunteering my help for anyone that needs it; please get in touch with me if you're having trouble, or would like someone to beta for you, as I'm here to help as your friendly mod! And participants whose fics have been completed early are encouraged to cheer on and help out their team mates, so please look out for your fellow Sci Fi / Fantasy members and give them a helping hand. Together your teams stand united! Please check in below so I know you're aware of your new posting date, and let me know if you have any questions.

Whoa, not that I am saying I needed it or anything (>.>;;;;;) but I am grateful for the extension and aware of my new posting date! *salutes*

I have to say, I think I am about 1/3 of the way done and it's, uh. At least not going to be as long as the 2013 Olympfic? (Xia, no promises, but I PROBABLy will not spend 3 hours in the middle of the night panicking on you this year...)

Okay, I have an idea: as long as it is alright with the other participants, I could essentially have you "pinch-hitting" for yourself; that is, posting on the 23rd with the pinch-hitters. This does mean that we have a day with no fic posted, but this is the best and last thing I can do.

I cannot keep moving the dates back, as the event will not finish otherwise. Is this an acceptable compromise?

Keep in mind that if you are not finished by this point, you will have to post an unfinished fic on your posting day, and please remember you must post something, or your score will be zero, and I don't want to have to give zero out as a score ;__;

Aithilin, I totally understand the 'Shit happens' thing. I am kinda shaky on what that does to the schedule though. A day with no fic at all, so early in the contest, and 4 people posting fic on the last day? It's not very fair to the other writers or to the readers who are going to be coming in to participate next week.

All that said, I am happy to 'trade places' with aithilin. When I was brought in as a pinch-hitter, I thought I would be posting on the 16th and have been working to ensure I was done by then. I was happy about having an extra week for cleaning/editing with this new extension, but I would be more than happy to stick to my original plan and post on the 16th, and give aithilin my spot on the 23rd. This way, there's at least one fic per day, and not quite so many on the final day.

And if the other people in the contest aren't comfy with this as a solution, I would understand that. Obviously cloverfield is our chairperson and final arbiter of this stuff, but I'm more than willing to chat about it further with anyone on either team. You can PM me or message me on Tumblr.

Honestly, I would prefer this; I'm uncomfortable leaving a whole day without a fic to vote for, as the contest might lose momentum.

Faren, thank you for volunteering to swap with Aithilin. Aithilin, I'm going to put you on the 23rd, and Faren on the 16th, and that is the best I can do. It's unfair to the other participants if I keep extending, particularly as some writers have actually finished, and it's unfair to the readers to leave them with a day without something to vote for.

I'll update the schedule once more to reflect this.
