2017 Kurofai Olympics: Posting Week Begins Today

Today, Monday August 7, is the first day of posting for the 2017 Kurofai Olympics. First up is 'Turn a Blind Eye' with [personal profile] arisprite and [personal profile] tsubasafan . Please refer to the schedule here, if you need a reminder of who goes when.  As a reminder, all fics are due by midnight (11:59 PM) Pacific Daylight Time.

Contestants are encouraged to use the posting formats (found here for both teams) for the full team effect with graphic headers, cuts & all, but no points will be lost for not using them. :)

Remember readers, your part in this event starts today! We need all of you to read these lovely entries and score them. The voting period will be open until August 20th, but there's no reason not to start now!

Entries will be scored out of 10 points. We encourage people to vote honestly with their hearts, but if you are unsure how to put a numeric score on your feelings, you can use this handy rubrick:

1) How well did this entry represent their team? 1-10
2) How well did this entry represent its prompt? 1-10
3) How much did I enjoy this story, overall? 1-10

Above all, have fun!

Hi there! On the previous rubric for scoring ( http://kurofai.dreamwidth.org/98257.html ), part of the scoring involved how in-character the fic was. Is that still a part of the scoring system? And if so, does that apply to only the POV assigned to each team (Kurogane for Dragon and Fai for Phoenix), or does it include side characters as well?

Hey Mikke, I've noticed some authors are using the old scoring rubric (probably because it's included in the formatting copy & paste); can the mods organise to let those authors know so they can change the score rubric on their fics?

I think this way the readers won't get confused about how they're supposed to be scoring what they read, seeing as it looks like there's two different rubrics in use.

Thanks to the mod team for all their hard work!
