Hello again guys! It's time to post the tropes we'll be using for this year's Olympics, but first let's check the team lists! This has changed since the last time you saw it so please check the lists carefully to be sure which team you're on!

These teams were chosen for the optimum mix of veterans and newbies! Our pinch-hitters this go around will be

sotongsotong, both of whom deserve all our thanks for bowing aside for later entrants and who are both guaranteed places next olympics. Let's have a round of applause for them all!

Now, instead of vague one-sentence themes for you to interpret at your leisure, the aim of this olympics is to have a crack at well established fanfic cliches. There are seven cliches/tropes below, and it is, as always, first come first served! To claim a trope, please comment below IN YOUR TEAM THREAD. Do NOT reply to this entry directly!

Please remember that you will be abiding by the comm rules when it comes to posting, ratings, threesomes & moresomes (that is, we have decided to allow pairings of kuro/fai+others, so long as kurogane and fai are the focal point of the fic).

(As with last year, I've included some details of this year's tropes on my journal, [here] for those of you who don't recognize them or aren't familiar with them).

Trope claiming will be open until 0:00 PST/ 8:00AM GMT on Saturday 22nd March, when writing will begin. Please feel free to trade tropes amongst your teams. Anybody who has not claimed a trope by Saturday will be automatically assigned one, so get in while the getting's good! You will have three weeks to write, and fics will be posted started from Saturday 12th April continuing until Saturday 19th. If you are not going to be able to post during this week for any point, please let me know so I can schedule your posting dates accordingly.

mindlessandri, can I trade with you? The two tropes left are both ones I hate with a passion, but I really wanted dopplegangers. If not, it's fine. I'll figure something out and just remember for next year that living in the central time zone puts me at a serious disadvantage for this sort of thing.

Hey, I have an idea, Kokochan. This is going to involve a lot of swapping which everyone will get what they wanted.

I'll take genderswap. Then ereshkigali takes amnesia (as they originally wanted). mindlessadri will get quarantine (as they wanted), and you get doppelgangers.

So I'm totally okay with taking Rule 63 since well, that's also one of my staple tropes. Which means

ereshkigali gets amnesia -->

mindlessadri gets quarantine AND then

kokochan gets doppeldangers. And Faren and Reikah keep theirs.

Or if not, then I could just have Kokochan take 'amnesia' and take Rule 63 instead if everyone already formulated some ideas. ^^;

having gotten some sleep (YAY), I can say I'd be completely happy with either amnesia or quarantine, since I have clear story ideas for both already starting to roll around in my head and think I could manage either. SO if anyone else would like this swap, I'm fine with it!

and now I must run and catch a bus~ let me know how it all shakes down

I'd be perfectly happy with this if everyone else is! I saw the troupe dopplegangers and have an entire fic already half-formed in my head. ^_^
