Harlequin Challenge Prompt #17 - "Nemo in Amore"
Title: Nemo in Amore (which is, surprisingly, not in reference to adorable missing clownfish)
Author:
ereshkigali
Warnings: Violence, gore, moderate bad language, implied sex, themes of slavery.
Pairings: KuroFai, naturally, but also Suoh/Nokoru and Kendappa/Souma
Original Prompt: Claiming the runaway! Two years ago former gladiatrix Severina had no choice but to flee from ex-soldier Livius Lucan. Their relationship was fuelled by fiery passion, but secrets from her past threatened his safety – a risk she couldn’t take. Now she needs this noble Roman’s help. But his solution is one she’s unprepared for – marriage! Lucan is determined to conquer and seduce this runaway woman – and claim the wedding night he never had!
Summary: In the quiet British town of Calleva Atrebatum, a wounded Roman soldier’s homecoming is interrupted by the arrival of an old friend. Meanwhile, a lonely stranger sets out from Vinovium in the hope of revenge.
Notes: Oh, wow. OK. Um. This is - not as cracktastic as it probably should have been. Um. Sorry about that. I would advise reading through my historical notes here first, if you can spare the time. This post links to the first three chapters at my account – the remaining two (OR THREE HELP I DON’T KNOW) should (SHOULD) be up eventually.
