2014 Kurofai Olympics: posting dates!
The themes have been claimed! Below, you will find the posting dates, which should hopefully suit you all? (Nobody mentioned any unavailabilities when claiming, although if you do have some do please let me know in the comments below). I've also included posting format guidance for when your fic is due!

In previous contests, we have tried to ask that people post their entries directly to the comm. This is so that in the event of someone deleting their journal at a later date, people can still access the copies of the fic later on. This time we will be relaxing this procedure and counting votes both on the comm and on personal journals, for those of you (like me!) who prefer to post your fics to your own journals. However, we must ask that you provide a post to this community, using the following header formats, even if you are planning to link back to your own dreamwidth account for the fic.
If you post your fic to the community you MUST use a cut tag. A step-by-step guide to making cut tags on dreamwidth, with pictures, is available HERE. There is no excuse for not cutting your fanfiction.
If you are on Team Comedy please use the following posting format:
Subject line: [Team Comedy] (prompt title) Fic title
If you are on Team Drama please use the following posting format:
Subject line: [Team Drama] (prompt title) Fic title
Some extra reminders:
1) The posting schedule is not final and may be subject to change. In the event of someone dropping out, their theme will be moved to to allow the pinch-hitter as much time to write as possible. If you are dropping out, email both mikkeneko and myself (mikkeneko at gmail.com and kaltia at gmail.com) asap in order to ensure we can get a pinch-hitter working as fast as possible.
2) Olympics deadlines have been pushed back as a whole before and this MAY happen again if the moderators feel enough people need the extra time.
3) You will not be able to vote for the fics if you are a writer for either team. IF the pinch-hitter's services are not needed, pinch-hitters can vote. If you drop out and a pinch-hinter takes your place, you may still vote.
4) Observe the community rules in the profile, as we do expect you to comply with them. Note particularly our policy on threesomes and moresomes. You may write Kurogane/Fai/+ people, but we do expect the fic to focus on the relationship between Kurogane and Fai.
5) - For voters: you may vote anonymously, but unless you include in your comment a link to an identifying blog/ff.net profile/tumblr, your vote will not be counted.
5b) Also for voters: be honest, but don't be cruel.
6) Fics do not have to be AU. Crossovers are allowed, as are canon stories. If you struggle with world-building, this may be some relief.
7) Support your team-mates. This is not an individual entrant challenge, and winning relies on your whole team, not just you. :)

In the midst of the flailing, let me reach out to our couple of newbies who have not done Olympics before and say we are a very friendly bunch! If you want someone to bounce ideas off or help you edit, or even just to for some encouragement, reach out to your fellow writers. We are always happy to help each other! I lost some writing time over the last couple things while dealing with some family issues. They are resolved now, but I do think an extension would be nice not to mention helpful.
